Jacaranda Books meet Jon Snow at the Africa Utopia Festival

Independent publishing house Jacaranda Books and their author Irenosen Okojie were treated to celebrity treatment on the 13th when they met British journalist and television presenter Jon Snow at the Africa Utopia Festival.
The festival, hosted by the Southbank Centre, celebrates African arts and culture, attracting big names from the creative industries including legendary musician Tony Allen and author Ben Okri.
Jacaranda Books, a London-based, diversity-led publishing house with an interest in Caribbean and African literature, attended the event in support of their authors including British-Nigerian novelist Irenosen Okojie, who spoke at the festival on Sunday.

Mr Snow created a stir when he visited the Jacaranda Books' stand after meeting with Jacaranda's Commercial Director Cynthia Hamilton, and praised the team, including founder Valerie Brandes and Publicity Manager Jazzmine Breary, for their ethos and range of publications.
The esteemed journalist posed for pictures and chatted with author Irenosen Okojie, before leaving with a signed copy of her debut novel Butterfly Fish and a selection of other Jacaranda titles.
