Three reasons to discover Robert Rauschenberg - Tate
Published: 31 August 2016 | by Arts Reporter
The first posthumous retrospective and major exhibition of
Rauschenberg's work in the UK for 35 years is coming soon to the Tate.
Here are 3 reasons to discover the artist for yourself from 1 December 2016 - 7 April 2017:
1. Rauschenberg has been a global influence, working alongside Andy Warhol and making art out of his bed half a century before Tracey Emin.
2. He ignored conventional boundaries, moving between painting, sculpture, photography and more.
3. He challenged traditional art materials, Monogram (pictured) was assembled from materials including a stuffed angora goat!
