Vasikana Project has signed a donation agreement of 15 000 softcups from Evofem and partnership with Tererai Trent's Tinogona to initiate Project Dignity in Zimbabwe, a project already initiated in Kenya and most recently in Zambia.
Through this donation we hope to provide menstrual management to 15 000 girls and women to last them two years as softcups is a reusable product that is designed to last 2 years with proper care.
Instead of absorbing the menstrual flow, softcups are designed to collect and can be worn for 12 hours.
While there might be cultural, hygiene and social issues to address, we believe with proper education these can be addressed and that this may be a start in moving forward.
