If you want to see award winning movies before anyone else has even heard of them or some of the very best documentaries from around the world then the Bath Film Festival is the place to be this November.
There will be big name films such as A United Kingdom, which premiered at London Film Festival, A Monster Calls and the controversial The Birth of a Nation.
The Film Festival also has a brilliantly eclectic selection of previews
sourced from all of the world, including the really eerie Creepy
Japanese thriller, Alone In Berlin with Emma Thompson and Brendan
Gleeson, the jaw droopingly good The Red Turtle and the shockingly
insightful Forever Pure.
The Bath Film Festival's feminist film
rating goes from strength to strength and is now being used by dozens of
cinemas and film festivals across the UK.

The F-rating is awarded to any film that answers "yes" to one or more of the following questions:
1. Does it have a female director?
2. Is it written by a woman?
3. Are there significant female characters on screen in their own right?
This year's festival is 48% F-Rated with superb films such as the great Brit flicks Burn Burn Burn and The Levelling.
The Festival is also promoting diversity through 'Queer Film,' 'Pan-Asian' segments and Documentaries.
Bath Film Festival have scoured the earth for the very best feature documentaries for the 2016 programme and these include Omo Child: The River and the Bush, which will challenge many preconceptions.
