Clara In Wonderland brings out the ‘warrior and magical super hero’ in wearer

Italian fashion designer, Clara Longobardo, brought a mixture of fashion and fantasy to the catwalk at Fashions Finest during London Fashion Week 2016. Clara's designs are inspired by her surroundings, including plants, architecture and people and their interesting movements.
She told OneVybe, "Everything around me comes alive and I give those things their own identity. This is why I called this little project, Clara in Wonderland.
"In reference to this specific collection, I thought of them [the pieces] as my cartoon warriors, like the magical super hero that we all are, everyday living in and with our own routine. I imagined this routine in Technicolor and that is how this collection was born.
"It was a wonderful sensation when I saw all of them lined up and ready to go out on that runway for the first time. I said to myself, they are my clothing and they are my 'babies'"
Clara In Wonderland is based in Tuscany, Italy and is heaven for people Clara described as needing a break from the daily grind. Clara said that her typical customers "feel free to make those transformations for a couple hours a day and become the actress of their own personal movies."

This need to have a personal touch is why Clara In Wonderland designs are never mass-produced. Clara said, "I like my product to be more like one of a kind so my clients can feel unique on life's stage.
"I can't really put a target age group because I really don't feel my age, so how could I expect that of others. I feel my clothing should be for everyone, regardless of age or shape or size. I still believe that we are each exceptional in our own way and wish to bring a little more of this into peoples lives.

"My family and my friends think that I live in my own little world and they compare me to a cartoon character or to one of those comic strip characters," said Clara, adding that this is the best descriptive compliment they could ever give her.
Clara's dedication to her art at times requires some sacrifices especially sticking to a limited budget, which she refers to as the 'adult part of the work.' As a small company with big dreams, at times Clara feels like they are going against the current.
"But I am happy and I feel lucky because in this beautiful fight I
have learned so many things about myself, from everyone and every
experience. I have changed a lot."
Clara has a lot of praise for her team, who she says are as crazy as she is, telling OneVybe, "I believe in dreams and the people I work with are like me in this respect. They are all dreamers and they keep alive the child they have inside them. It is a different way to play, but we are still doing it, just like children."
