Mirrors To Windows: The Artist as Woman with the Saatchi Gallery
To celebrate the launch of Champagne, Life the Saatchi Gallery's first all-women exhibition, the Gallery will be hosting an exclusive preview screening of 'Mirrors to Windows: The Artist as Woman' and Director's Q&A with  Emmy and Peabody award-winning filmmaker Susan Steinberg.

After three years filming behind the walls of London's galleries, Steinberg reveals the intimate journey of the evolution of 10 women, aged 22 to 82, as they become artists of the 21st century.

The documentary follows an international cast; from Cairo, France, Germany, Lebanon, the United States and the United Kingdom, all now living and working in London as they forge their careers in and around the heat of the blazing trail left by 20th century female art ancestry.

This documentary feature film by Emmy and Peabody award-winning filmmaker Susan Steinberg has been celebrated amongst critics as an 'inspiring and beautifully flowing film'. The screening will be followed by a Director's Q&A session.

Artists featuring in Mirrors to Windows: The Artist as Woman: Maliheh Afnan, Alice Anderson, Helaine Blumenfeld OBE, Jodie Carey, Susan Collins, Nermine Hamman, Charlotte Hodes, Sarah Lederman, Almuth Tebbenhoff and Rose Wylie RA.

Susan Steinberg is an Emmy award-wining writer, director and producer. Best known for her work on PBS series 'American Masters', she began her career as an editor on “Gimme Shelter” and on Robert Frank's notorious film, “Cocksucker Blues”.

Steinberg has produced and directed documentaries on Paul Simon, Edward R. Murrow and Ahmet Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records. Mirrors to Windows is her first feature film as an independent producer and director.

Champagne Life marks the Saatchi Gallery's 30th anniversary and pays tribute to its commitment to supporting the work of women artists early on in their careers and providing them with a platform to showcase their work.

Showcasing new and arresting work by international group of emerging women artists and celebrates their contribution to the ongoing development of art today.
