Story Friday 'Quilt of Stories' on March 13th
Published: 21 March 2015 | by Staff Reporter
A Word In Your Ear and Kilter Theatre present 'Story Friday - Quilt of Stories,' an evening of new stories written and performed by local writers at Burdall's Yard on March 13th 8.00pm.
Admission is £4.00 at the door.
Bar open and live music from 7.30pm.
Live music from folk duo, John Breese and Charlotte Carrivick.
This Story Friday is inspired by an heirloom of a quilt that was started in the 1950s by Clare Reddaway's mother and was finished last year by Emily Langdon.
Clare says "It is a quilt full of memories - a quilt made out of kitchen curtains and summer skirts, out of pyjamas and school uniforms and party dresses.
"Each piece of material has its own story. Our evening will be made up of writers' own stories that spring from quilts and materials - maybe the slide of silk, the rasp of denim - and our evening will form its own patchwork of stories."
