Story Fridays: Outsiders

Distracted by recent events, I forgot to tell everyone about the next Story Friday! Our theme is OUTSIDERS - perhaps apt in light of the current political situation?
We'd love stories on all and any outsiders, whether that's migrants getting into leaky overcrowded boats on the Mediterranean or the kids left alone at the edge of the playground.
This Story Friday is for those who don't run with the crowd. And you have the whole summer (if you can call this summer) to think about it!
Story Friday Outsiders is on Friday 23rd September at Burdall's Yard in Bath. The deadline for submissions is Monday 12th September.
We had a fab time at Story Friday Solstice with some great stories. If you couldn't make it, or you'd like to enjoy them all over again, you can listen here:

Submission deatails:
We are looking for short stories or monologues, fact or fiction (but mainly fiction), maximum 2,000 words. If you want to enter a flash piece that can work too. No poetry, thank you.
The event will be held on Friday 23rd September 2016 at Burdall's Yard in Bath. Deadline for submissions is Monday 12th September.
Please check that you are available to come along on the 23rd September before you submit. We like the writers to be in the audience for these events.
Two wonderful professional actors, Olly Langdon and Caroline Garland of Kilter Theatre, are very happy to read your story if performance gives you the jitters.
Let me know in your email when you submit if you'd like someone else to read your piece.
We are now paying a small 'thank you' gratuity of £10 to any writer whose story is chosen. So you can go wild!
