Welcome to The Northern Hussle blog, in partnership with OneVybe Magazine. The Northern Hussle is a documentary series founded by us, eNaledge and Alex, based on artists that put their energy into the God given talent they have.

The objective of The Northern Hussle is to go out and beat the pavement weekly, documenting the creative energies that are hidden in the basements of houses, locked up in studios around the city, and written ideas yet to impact the masses.  

We bring you a weekly episode that showcase the past, current, and future talents that make up the city of Toronto, Canada.

Episode 1

What:
May 2014/ G98.7 (radio station) 'JelleeStone and friends'

Who:
JelleeStone, Michie Mee, Choclaire, Saukrates, Maestro Fresh Wes and many more

This event was a fluke. We were invited by a friend, took our camera and gear and just went up there, next thing we know we went into hyper gear networking and doing interviews through the room.

This video is what came of that evening.

Episode 2

It was kind of funny how the second episode came about. I mentioned about the first episode that the process of creation was a 'Vybe' inspired movement, at least for me (eNaledge).
 
Anyways, I was doing security at a hotel one evening and I overheard a group of guys and girls talking.

They mentioned something about a performance they were about to go to or they just came from.

I felt compelled to go and speak to them. I gave them my speech and gave them a business card.

They call themselves 'The Headlines'. The Headlines are a  group comprised of brothers of Jamaican descent that grew up on the streets of east Toronto.

Within them are lyricists, producers, managers and a promotion team. Any time I hang out with these guys, their accommodating vybe and good nature draws you in.

It was only right to bring it to Alex and start planning to go and meet up with them. It didn't take too long and they invited us to their house and treated us like family, complete with a jerk chicken dinner from mom dukes.

P.S - There is an album project cooking. I myself am an artist and well, as we go around meeting artists and showcasing them, I also get them in the studio.
