I thought I'd share a few tips on weight loss....Just a few things I learnt a long the way on my weight loss journey.
1) Be absolutely 110% committed and determined to get the results you want.
2) Be intentional and strategic about your weight loss...Remember it took you a long time to gain weight,so give your body a chance to change.
3) Review your attitude to food and change it accordingly. You definitely can't expect different results doing the same things! Practise portion control; stay away from starving yourself or binge eating. Eat healthy and be sensible about it. Learning the right habits will help you avoid your weight going up and down.
4) Love yourself and your body...Be kind to it...you only have one.
5) Do not starve yourself.
6) Be organised.
7) Be active. Do things that keep you active..eg. signing up for an exercise class, Zumba, exercise DVDs, dancing, swimming or walking.
8) Drink lots of water and cut down on sodas.
9) Plan for your success and have maintenance plans in place.
10) Work on your body from the inside out. Use a supplement that puts the nutrients back in your body and use a weight loss aid that isn't harmful to your body. Understand your body and Metabolism.
11) Learn to make healthy alternatives to the things you like eating...If you love milkshakes...Try smoothies or protein shakes.
12) Have fun and celebrate every small victory and journal your success and keep yourself accountable.
13) Be disciplined....
