Maharishi, founded in 1994 by award winning designer Hardy Blechman, had a fantastic comeback show at this year's London Collections: Men featuring utility-chic for its Autumn/Winter 2015.

The anticipation was palpable as there were people still rushing to get into the packed venue just as the show started. The catwalk comprised a military look, which it has specialised in since the beginning, with camouflage print and balaclavas dominating.

Maharishi, meaning 'great seer,' has strong environmentally friendly ethics and specialise in clothes that are fair-trade produced. The line is made using hemp and natural fibres, organic cottons and recycled military clothing.

Blechman previously worked in the international military and industrial clothing surplus trade and his recycling of workwear and military surplus and his work in the field of natural fibres helped the label gain respect among larger commercial fashion retailers.

In 1995, Blechman designed and launched 'Snopants' with unique detailing that became a significant style statement and was worn by a variety of celebrities including rapper and entrepreneur JayZ.

Maharishi, which has been a celebrity favourite since the 1990s was arguably responsible for the combat look and in 2000, Blechman won the 'Streetwear Designer of the Year' award at the British Fashion Council Awards.
