Non American or European stars rocking the international music scene

It's easy to assume that American and European pop stars are the biggest musicians in in the world but as it turns out that's not always the case.
Alongside the foreign artists who occasionally break into the U.S. mainstream like PSY who exploded onto the international scene with "Gangam Style" and Shakira there are others who have largely been overlooked by western countries mainstream.
Fortunately, the tide may soon be changing and because of the likes of Shakira and Akon who has signed many African stars to his lable, we may now see a wider variety of music and experience some major crossover tunes.
Here are some pop stars from other countries who are rocking the international scene.
Aryana Sayeed is an Afghan singer, songwriter and TV personality born in in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents left Afghanistan when she was 8 years old and lived in Pakistan before settling in Switzerland. Currently she lives in London, England with her Mother and siblings.
Fernando & Sorocaba are a sertanejo (country music) duo from Brazil. Fernando is Fernando Zorzanello Bonifácio and Sorocaba is the stage name of Fernando Fakri de Assis.
In 2013, Chinese pop singer Li Yuchun beat out the likes of Justin Bieber to take home the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards Best Worldwide Act trophy.
Singer-songwriter Yuna from Malaysia has become the first artist from her homeland to conquer the American market.
P-Square are a Nigerian R&B duo composed of identical twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye. They produce and release their albums through Square Records. In December 2011, they were signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik label.
